UX/UI Designer passionate about designing solutions that drive business forward.
Hi, I'm Tanner Nguyen - currently designing mission-critical software at NASA through Amentum.

A designer shaped by storytelling.
From video production to user experience - a path built on empathy and craft.
With over 5 years of experience in video production, I've always been passionate about storytelling and creating engaging, visual experiences that resonate with audiences. Over time, I realized that what I enjoyed most wasn't just creating content - it was understanding how people interact with it, and how I could make that interaction more meaningful and intuitive. That realization led me to UX design.
I completed the UX Design program through Designlab, where I developed hands-on skills in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. What excites me about UX is the opportunity to solve real problems through empathy, creativity, and data-driven decisions, building digital experiences that are not only functional but also intuitive and impactful.
Currently, I work as a User Experience Designer at Amentum supporting NASA, where I collaborate with scientists, engineers, and developers to design web-based tools for mission planning and complex scientific data. My work focuses on simplifying technical information into clear, usable interfaces, as well as contributing to design systems that ensure consistency and scalability across products.
My background in video production gives me a strong foundation in visual hierarchy, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration. I bring a user-first mindset, a detail-oriented design approach, and a drive to continuously learn, iterate, and deliver thoughtful solutions. I'm especially drawn to teams that value collaboration, creative thinking, and making a meaningful impact through design.
